Workshops

Our understanding of dance is holistic. This means that we value the human element and the shared experience rather than focusing on perfection. Through our approach, we create projects where children and adults build relationships with each other and expand their social skills. As professional dance and theater educators, we empower individuals through clear feedback and a lot of empathy. We utilize creative impulses and work together to bring out the details, engaging all the senses.

Workshops for children

riesenstark • spielerisch • sinnlich

Pirinola implements contemporary dance workshops for kindergartens and elementary schools. The themes can vary, ranging from the Tiger Claw Gang to a Magic Castle to a Dancing Building Site. Depending on the age group and the number of participants, we adapt the duration and challenges accordingly. Together with the participants, we develop our own dance piece through contemporary dance pedagogy and improvisation. The culmination of the workshop is a performance in front of friends and families, under professional theater conditions. Funding through public grants is possible for these projects.

Workshops for educators and childcare workers

bewegen • kennenlernen • fröhliches Erleben

In our workshops for educators, we invite participants to familiarize themselves with our methods of working with children. To understand our concept, we make it physically experiential – we dance and move together in the space. We engage in dance sequences, music, rhythm, and improvisation. The workshop alternates between practical and theoretical components. No prior knowledge or physical prerequisites are necessary. All workshop participants are invited to join in comfortable dance/sportswear.

Pirinola opens the window to modern dance and theater.

For us, dancing means encountering, moving, and sensing. What science has long known, we put into practice: Dancing is smart – it stimulates many different levels in the brain, creating new neural connections.
